Anna was truly an extraordinary woman! We first met on our daily walks to and from St. Theresa's elementary school. A great friendship blossomed from there.  We enjoyed afternoon tea with sweets, played cards, had meals together, and made fruitcakes together annually, all while sharing stories of our lives. On one trip from her visit to her family in Belgium, she returned with a souvenir for me -- a candle in the shape of an ice cream sundae. It is still on display in our dining room.   Many great things stand out about Anna but the most impactful was how often she spoke of her kids and grand-kids - she was rightfully a very proud mother and Oma!!   Losing a Parent and Oma like Anna is difficult. We hope you too will find solace in the loving memories you shared together. Rest in Peace my friend.Â

Dear Paul and family dear cousin We regret that aunt Anna has died. Please accept our condolences. Aunt Anna was the oldest living person in our great Meersschaert family. But there are still one sister Maria and 3 brothers of her alive and also very old: - aunt Maria 95 years - uncle Herman, 93 years - uncle Paul, my father 91 years - uncle Frans, 89 years It has been a long time we have seen you and your family far away in Canada. But there is still the joyfull rememberance from the periods you stayed shortly in the seventies in our family when you were coming tot Belgium. Probably we won't meet each other but you never now. I wish you and your family all the best and hope you will respond my message. Yours sincerely Richard Meersschaert meersschaertr@gmail.com +32479549623
