Dianna ‘Diane’ (née Gravelle) Chenier
May 29, 2020
Passed away peacefully at home, on Friday, May 29, 2020, at the age of 77. Beloved partner in life of Adela Lebiedz. Cherished mother of Laurier Chenier, Claire Kemp, Carole (Allan) Farrell, Roger Chenier and Chantalle Harrison. Very devoted Nana “Nanny” to 14 grandchildren: Ashleigh (Christopher), Curtis (Carley), the late Branden, Sandra, Dakota (Cameron), Breanne, Taren, Tyler (Rebecca), Roger, Connor, Ava, Evander, Scotia, Laurier Jr.; and 8 great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Jayda, Jayden, Victoria, Ruby, Zachary, Noah and Kingzley, whom she adored with her whole heart. Dear sister of Lionel Gravelle, of Gogama, Ontario. Predeceased by her 14 other siblings. Diane took great pride in being the first female bus operator for the London Transit Commission. Later, she became a self-employed contractor. Her greatest love was her family; she loved all animals and she was a very loyal friend. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Diane are asked to consider the London Animal Care Centre, 121 Pine Valley Boulevard, London, Ontario N6K 3T6. The Centre accepts monetary donations made in person, or by mail. Diane had such a love for all in life and asked that we be kind to each other.

My sincerest condolences to you Adela and family. Diane was one of the kindest people I have ever met. She had a big laugh and an even bigger heart and would go out of her way to help you and never expected anything in return. I remember Diane insisting on helping us paint after she had back surgery, there was no stopping her, so she laid on her side, on the floor and helped us paint. That memory brings a smile to my face and I hope that you find comfort in the many cherished memories that you hold of Diane. She is an inspiration to many and will be greatly missed.
I'm so saddened in the passing of my dear friend Diane. She was Sandra and Tyler nana and was loved by us all very much. She even told my other son Brayden to call her nana, she told him her heart had room for one more, which meant the world to him. Diane was my mother in law for about 6 years, when that ended she always made me still feel like family. Any time I went to see her and Del there was alway one big hug waiting for me. They will never know just how much that meant to me. Diane was one amazing woman, she could fix your car, repair your home then cook you one incredible dinner she could do it all. She fought so hard to stay with us as long as she could, she made it to Mother's DAY, her birthday and most importantly her special day filled with family and friends for her tribute from the LTC. The smile on her face that day was one of pure joy. Diane will always hold a special place in my heart and I will miss her very much. My thoughts are with Del, and her family. Rip my dear friend 💙
Adele I'm sorry to hear of Diane's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
My condolences to the family. Diane, always helping everyone she knew, wonderful lady you will be missed rest in peace my friend.
Adele and Diane's family: We are profoundly sorry for your loss. Diane was our dearest friend for well over 30 years. She had such a presence and impact on our lives; she was a fiercely loving and loyal friend. We have so many wonderful (some rather silly e.g. Karaoke sleepovers) memories of our times together over the years. Rest in peace our friend - you gave us all of you, and for that, you will forever be in our hearts until we meet again.

I remember Diane building a deck at my first home in 1982. What a crew and fun adventure that was. Hearing her name over the years always made me smile. My condolence to Adele and family.
Dear Adele and Laurier, Claire,Carol, Roger and Chantalle, and all the kids, I'm so sorry for your Great Loss. Aunt Diane was a very special person, I'll always remember her booming laughter and her great Hugs. May she Rest In Peace and have no more pain. You are in my thoughts and prayers. My sincere sympathy.
Diane was a wonderful woman. She not only was the first female bus driver for LTC in London Ontario but also helped raise me in my early 20's to help me be a better person. "come here you" are words Diane said to be over 30 years ago when she was about to site me down to a big plate of her awesome home cooked meal. Diane, Adel and myself would site around the dinning room table for friendly chat. Both ladies welcomed me into their home to live for a short period to help me get back on my feet. My heart smiles when I watch the above video which shows not only female bus drivers but some of the older guys which took the time out of their day to come by and say THANK YOU Diane for doing what you did when you did it. In closing I will say. IF MORE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD WERE LIKE DIANE, this would be a much better world. Blessing to you Adel in the new chapter in your life. I miss you both.
Diane was one of the kindest, most loving people that I have ever known. She had a huge heart. I know that she will be missed by so many. My love and condolences to the family. I am so lucky to have had the privilege of calling her my friend.

Knowing Diane has been a real pleasure for the last 20 years. She was the first person we met as she was painting our apartment. Diane was very caring and devoted. We met Adele and they have been a part of our lives ever since. Diane, we will miss you but will carry many memories with us. Thank you for being there and sharing your love. You will be remembered. Much love, Ginny & Barb So
Our sincere sympathies Carole & Allan and all your family for your loss.
Diane told me of some good stories the times she was driving for LTC. Stories that I could relate too; being retired myself from LTC. She was always willing to help you out, regardless of the situation. My greatest memory will be my best vacation with her and Adele, when we went to Disneyland. You will be missed Diane by many...but never forgotten. REST IN PEACE my friend.
Diane, you left a legacy at London Transit Commission and your soulmates at LTC will remember you and carry your legacy through their lives!
My sympathies to all of you who loved Diane.
