John ‘Scott’ Grahame

June 8, 2020

After a short but valiant struggle, Scott Grahame sadly passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020, at the age of 65. Scott was a skilled tradesman and worked in construction all his life as the owner of Grahame Contracting. He loved anything fast: trucks, motorcycles, boats, enjoyed his time with friends and was dedicated to his family. Scott is remembered with love by his wife of 43 years, Susan, his son Sean (Janelle) and grandson Kendrick. He will be forever missed by his mother, Leone; brother, Steven; nieces Stephanie and Lindsay; mother-in-law Beverley; and will be fondly remembered by the Routley family. Predeceased by his father, Jack, who passed away in 1991. A celebration of Scott’s life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Scott’s memory to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

I'm saddened to hear the news. I lived behind him for almost 4 years and enjoyed our conversations over the hedge. He always had stories and was a always a pleasure to talk to. RIP Scotty you will be missed

~ Jamie Foster

Sue, our deepest condolences for the loss of Scott. He was always out there on the porch patrolling speeders in the neighbourhood and loved all of our dogs as anyone walked by. We are so sorry for your loss. His time ran out, a tad early I'd say but I can tell from all the stories that he had a lot of fun, played hard, made and kept great friends. Please take care of yourself. One day at a time. Luv Bea and Dan Jones

~ Bea Jones

Dear Sue and family. I am so very sorry for your loss. Although I didn't know Scott, from the comments about Scott above, I can tell he was a good man and a caring loving friend and hubby. Hugs

~ Ronalee Porter

I first met Scott on his birthday at the Oarhouse. Thinking back I believe Stephanie and I were underage - he was clearly a favourite regular and I do believe we got served! - fast forward 10 years, I got a job working at the Oarhouse. Scott was one of the first familiar faces I came to know. I am guilty of joining in on the relentless teasing that if he was ever to visit in anything other then a crisp, clean, white t-shirt - no one would recognize him! - thanks for the kindness Scott:) xo Jessie:)

~ Jessie Furoy

Scotty was a great brother in law and great friend. Cherish my time and memories with him. Scotty was the type of guy everyone liked, genuine personality. I am privileged to have known him and learned much from him. We joked and i called you (the legend) and you were. A class act on how you treated and had time for others. One I will try to follow... A beer and shot of black zam to you brother

~ Chris Routley

Growing up Scott and Steve were like brothers to us three Armstrong girls. Although we haven't been in touch as much recently, Scott was someone we felt would always be there for us. It was very sad to learn of his passing. Scott will be remembered lovingly for his friendly, fun and generous nature. He was always smiling and brightening the lives he touched. He will be missed. Dad also sends sympathies to all.
