Suddenly, on Friday, July 31, 2020, in her 89th year. She leaves behind her beloved husband Vitorino, of 63 years and daughter, Grace (José). She was the dedicated grandmother of Annette (James) and Ashley (Chris); and great-grandmother of Harrison, Charlie and Henry. Ilda is also survived by her brother, Manuel (Deonilde) and sisters-in-law, Gabriella (José), Olga (Julio), and Felicidade (Eduardo), as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings: João, Julio, Deolinda, Natividade and José; and brothers-in-law, José and Artur. A private funeral for immediate family only will be held. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Ilda are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Ilda que tinha sempre um lindo sorriso para mim todas as vezes que encontrávamo-nos, especialmente no ano que acabámos por viajar para Portugal juntas sem ter sabido anteriormente que Ãamos no mesmo vôo. Que Deus lhe dê o eterno descanso.
