My Mother taught while Bill was principal at Listowel DSS. I was only there for one more year as a student when he started there, but we kept in touch. I was pleased to get to host him for a visit while I was at Western, and then again, around the mid 2000's when he reconnected when my Mom died, and then continuing to the buildup to the LDSS 125th celebration which we both attended. I do wish to convey my condolences and positive comments on my memories of him.

It was a privilege to know Bill. He was always such a positive gentleman with a smile that said he was glad to see you. I will always remember my friend Bill. I often sat beside Bill at church. part way through the service he would poke you to get your attention and give you a mint candy. If the world was made up of people like Bill it would be a wonderful world. Thank you for being my friend Bill.
