For many years, we lived across the street from Barb and Mahlon. They are like family. Barb was the glue to our families. She was a good friend and confidant. When they moved to London, I was devastated. We missed them very much but continued to see them as often as possible. I shall miss her very much, but know she is at peace and free from pain. My deepest love goes to Mahlon and the kids. I love you all. Donna

Aunt Barb was my second mother. The Dyers lived across the street from us for 15 plus years, while all the kids were growing up. She gave me a big sister for a life time friend (met when we were 2 years old) and a brother to fight with everyone needs one of those!). Your home was my home away from home..where i knew i was always welcome. Even when you moved to London there were lots of visits, get togethers and a few trips. You will always be in my thoughts, prayers and memories. ...... Love Chris

On behave of the Paterson family, I'd like to offer our condolences to Mahlon and his family. I have many fond memories of Barbara during my childhood and was lucky enough to continue knowing Barb in my adult life. Her warm and bubbly personality lite up a room and I know that she will be greatly missed. The friendship between Barb and my mother was one of great joy and laughter and there are many stories that both my mom and dad loved to tell. With sincere sympathy. Nancy (Paterson) Latimer

Mahlon, knowing Barbara and you was one of the most important times in my life. Your kindness and acceptance will never be forgotten. I was happy to be reunited with Barbara and you, for a brief time, at Janet's funeral. I still drive down Coronado to see your former home and remember "Secret Pal" times. Bob

She was a great woman. Given the time I spent at your house as a child she was like a second mother. A fantastic cook and hostess. My meatloaf to this day is as she taught me. We should all be so lucky to have a long life filled with love and a wonderful family. Our condolences to the entire Dyer family.

~ Monique Christakis
