Kenneth Cecil ‘Ken’ Clark

May 13, 2021

Passed away peacefully at Parkwood Institute, on Thursday, May 13, 2021, in his 91st year. Much loved and survived by his wife of 65 years, Donna (née Ryder); and his four children: Mary Gillet (Andrew), Peter Clark (Barbara Lippett), Janet Bard (Richard), and Donna Clark (Brad Austin). Proud grandfather of Craig Gillet, Dylan Govan, Wes Govan, Danny Austin, Siobhan Clark, Ryan Austin, Bailey Austin, and Desmond Clark. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Ken was born in London, Ontario, to Fred and Agnes Clark. He was the youngest and last surviving of their eight children: Muriel, John, Dorothy, Bill, Bette, Pat, and Marion. Sadly, a generation has passed. Ken was a decorated combat veteran of the Korean War, having served valiantly with the 1st and 3rd Royal Canadian Regiment, including at Hill 187, May 1953. Ken worked for over 40 years as a plumber in construction and the Ford Motor Company, Talbotville. He will be remembered for his love of family, dogs, music, and the Detroit Red Wings. Thank you, to the staff of 3 Essex, Veterans Care – Parkwood Institute, for such exceptional care in the final year of Ken’s life. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when it is safe to gather. Those wishing to make a donation in remembrance of Ken are asked to consider the Humane Society London & Middlesex, The Salvation Army, or The Royal Canadian Legion.
