Rozalia ‘Rose’ Sarolta (née Losonczy) Davis
August 22, 2021
Surrounded by, and with the love of her family, passed from this life to meet her beloved husband, Robert (Bob) on Sunday, August 22, 2021.
Rose was the proud mother to Carl (Janet) and Paul (Jennifer) and even prouder grandmother and great-grandmother to Thomas (Chantelle), Tessa, Taylor, Leah, Penelope and Wesley.
Rose was born in Mildred, Saskatchewan; the daughter of two Hungarian immigrants to Canada. Eventually, Rose and her family moved to Windsor, Ontario, where she met her husband and started a family in Michigan, following a short residency in Alaska. After a while, Rose and Bob decided to settle in London where Rose, along with Bob, started their own successful business (Stretch and Sew Fabrics) before eventually retiring.
Throughout her life, Rose worked hard to provide a good life for her children and grandchildren. She was as tough as nails and had a very candid tongue and quick wit; never shying away from speaking her mind on any range of topics. Most of all though, Rose was and will always be remembered for the profound love and devotion she had for her family and the caring and generous heart she had, not just for family, but for her animals, friends and neighbors too.
Rose was very much her own strong and independent woman, running her business, gardening, cooking and painting, but most of all, she loved nothing more than being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rose stopped at nothing to foster and build many wonderful memories with her family; whether it was on fishing trips in Northern Ontario, family gatherings on holidays, baking with her grandchildren, or evenings spent in the family room watching JAG.
Rose was truly one of a kind and she will be fondly and lovingly remembered in the hearts and minds of her family and deeply missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rose to the Humane Society London & Middlesex would be appreciated by the family.

Legendary Hungarian buttered garlic noodles with cottage cheese. Great respect for the love and care she gave to her family and how important she was in the lives of her grandchildren. Deepest sympathies for your loss and trusting you will find comfort in all the happy memories you shared.
It was my privilege to share a Newcomer telephone conversation with Rose every month during covid shutdown. She spoke of missing her husband and was so proud of her family. Rest easy, Rose.
We are so sad to learn about Rose's passing. We extend our deepest condolences to the family as they deal with their loss. We met Rose and Bob through the City of London exercise classes. She had a fantastic sense of fashion and entertaining wit. Enjoyed and will remember many post exercise coffees with her. It was a pleasure knowing Rose.
Our sincere condolences to the Davis family. We were neighbors of the family for many years. Paul and Carl, the gardens at your home were always so beautiful. Your Mom made the best cabbage rolls and Christmas cookies which she generously shared. Her talents with sewing were endless. She was a great neighbor, and wonderful lady. She spoke with love and pride about her family. She will be missed by those whose lives she touched. We were fortunate to have known her. Glen and Carol
After working for you and Bob for almost 20 years, I can honestly say it was the best job that I ever had. We all worked almost like family and you treated us as family. So many wonderful memories! You will always be remembered!
