Mary Ellen (née Wagler) Good
October 30, 2021
On Saturday, October 30, 2021, surrounded by her loving family, Mary Ellen Good, of London, Ontario peacefully passed into God’s loving presence, in her 88th year. Mary Ellen was born on September 30, 1934 in Lowville, New York to the late Jacob Wagler and Anna Roggie.
Mary Ellen was a loving wife and partner to Mervin Good for over 65 years. They shared a rich life together, leaving Mervin with wonderful memories. She was a devoted mother to son, Gary Good (Debbie), of London, and daughters, Luann Good Gingrich (Dennis), of Kitchener, Lynette Mast (Chris, 2014) of Harrisonburg, Va., and Gloria Mast (André), of Harrisonburg, Va. She will also be fondly remembered by grandchildren: Sarah (Ben), Caleb (Alison), Tyler (Ally), Rachel, Michelle, Michaela, Sylvia, Reuben, Isaac and Hannah; and great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Emma, and Alida. Mary Ellen is also survived by sister-in-law, Rosemary Wagler (brother, Edward, 2017), and sisters, Lois Zehr (Carl) and Carol Erb (Kenneth), all of Lowville, NY, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother, Glenn who died in childhood.
Mary Ellen dedicated her life to making a warm and loving (and ridiculously clean!) home for her children and grandchildren. Times spent together with family every Christmas and summer brought her much joy. She also loved traveling the world with Mervin; serving her church community; playing games with her grandchildren; sewing and crocheting; preparing for family celebrations; showing hospitality to friends and neighbours; filling the freezer with oatmeal bread, monster cookies and spaghetti sauce; attending her grandchildren’s musical performances and sports events; and Florida vacations with long-time friends. Her adventurous spirit took her to the top of the smokestack at Eastern Mennonite College on a dare, and to new and unfamiliar communities where she always made a home.
Visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. by invitation only. Those who have been invited are required to register for the visitation and provide proof of vaccination upon entering the funeral home.

Great sorrow to Brother &Brother in law in the loss of such a great sister in law. Spent many times together as young adults, as roommates studying together at winter Bible School, youth events in our churches and later family events and family Christmas parties. Loved the times spent in Florida with her extended family and friends. So honoured that she went to meet her Lord & Saviour on my 90th Birthday. May God’s continued Love surround you in the months and years ahead .Floyd & Wilma
