Gregory Andrew Priamo
October 30, 2021
1963 – 2021
Our hearts are shattered with the passing of Greg Priamo on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at the age of 58. With his loving wife, Bobbi-Lyn Smith holding his hand and by his side for more than 26 years, they have raised two wonderful young adults: Adam and Natalie. A most proud and loving father, Greg enjoyed every hockey game and dance recital; every academic achievement and work pursuit; every family fun time and vacation that could be spent in the company of his children. Greg had a huge heart; loved his wife and children immensely; and had much confidence in their strength for building a strong future.
He is deeply missed by his siblings: Joanne and Howie Bright, Paulette Priamo, Nancy and Norm Orschel, Jane and Jim McIver, Mark Priamo, Mary Beth Priamo and Sam Yuen, Steve and Loreen Priamo, Bill and Brigitte Priamo; his many nieces and nephews; and his father, Tony (Hannah) Priamo. Predeceased by his mother, Mary (Damaren) Priamo and sister-in-law, Marian Priamo. Much loved by his in-laws: Jennifer, John, Victoria and Alex Lee; Barry (Marg) Smith; and Lynda (Jerry) Rozek.
Born in Guelph, Greg grew up in London, studied at University of Waterloo and became a Registered Professional Planner and member of the Canadian Institute of Planners. Together with Richard Zelinka, Greg worked hard to build the successful and respected land use planning consulting firm, Zelinka Priamo Ltd. He managed major commercial, residential, recreational and industrial projects for many valued clients. Evidence of Greg’s work in major urban development projects can be seen throughout Ontario, reminding us of him, his hard work and his pride in every member of ZP’s professional planning team.
Greg will be remembered for the kindness, generosity, care and respect he showed for others. So good at finding a way through and simplifying difficult problems, others looked to him for advice knowing his answers were always positive and calming. His vibrant nature, sense of humour and willingness to help made him a valuable business partner, a trusted leader, a worthy friend and inspirational role model.

Sending prayers and love to the Priamo Family. Greg will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Greg and I first met about 30 yrs ago when I was with Loblaws and he was working on obtaining entitlements for various store projects in the province. Our relationship grew over the last 30 years into a very strong friendship that spanned work, family, golf and of course the finer points of a good red wine! He had an incredible ability to make you feel better if you were down in the dumps about something - his good advice sprinkled with humor always left me feeling happier after we talked. I will miss him terribly, but he will always be in my heart and mind.
Our words cannot fully express the sorrow we feel. Greg was an amazing person and such a wonderful husband and father. We were blessed to have had him in our lives and will cherish the memories of dinners and merriment that we had together. To Bobbi, Adam, Natalie and all the family; Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your heart. May God turn your time of darkness into light again and may He stay by your side during this difficult time. Rest in Peace Greg, thank you for your friendship, wisdom and laughter. Our world is dimmer without your bright light.
Dear BobbyLynn, Adam and Natale! Words cannot describe how deeply sorry I feel for the loss of your husband and father. Please accept my sincere condolences. I have decided not to let his father know. Greg and I agreed when I last talked to him. Our prayers are with you. Sending all our Love Hannah
On behalf of myself and our office, we are so very sorry for your loss. Greg will be missed as a wonderful, fun, friend and colleague. We will really miss his playful banter and spirit. Your whole family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Greg was such a wonderful neighbour, friend and awesome supporter of all our fun and adventures with the Butler Ave crew of neighbours. We really appreciated his humour and fun loving approach. He will definitely be missed. We will keep Greg and you all in our thoughts and prayers. Love to you all!
Words cannot being to express our deep sorry that we are all feeling. Our hockey years with Ryan and Adam being on the same team brought us all together and has provided us with some warm and cherished memories. Greg was always so much fun to be around. He had a big heart and an even bigger personality. As others have already stated...he was a person who genuinely cared about everyone and would do what he could to help out. Ryan will cherish his time that he worked for Greg as we will all cherish our fond memories that we have of him. Bobbi-Lyn, Adam and Natalie, know that we are thinking and praying for all of you. Keep your husband and dad close to your hearts by filling them with your loving memories that you had with him. He will always, always be by your side. Rest in peace Greg....you will be missed. Bonnie, Trevor, Brandon, Ryan and Megan Esler
So very sorry and sad to hear of this news, Bobbi and family. Greg has been a friend in good times and in bad since at least 1987 when we first connected. No matter what problem I myself was having, I had pretty much forgotten it or he had solved it within a few minutes of humorous conversation. So many memorable travel experiences, golf games, fun/late nights and gatherings. Loyal to a fault. And loved his family so very much. I am privileged to have been his friend. Our deepest condolences to all of you. Love from April, Oliver and Jim Brown
So sorry to hear this sad news. My thoughts and prayers go out to your whole family. Big hugs, Esther
Incredibly sad news. We worked with Greg over the past 20 years. He was smart, incredibly well spoken and an expert in every sense of the word. Best of all, it was so much fun to spend time with him. He always took time to help even though he was so busy. He will be missed. Our most sincere condolences to his family.
Bobbi, Adam and Natalie, When a light as bright as Greg's shines, it is so difficult to fathom that it has gone out. We are so saddened for your loss. Our deepest condolences. Astrid, Aldo, Katherine and Lauren
Sorry Bobbi-Lyn and family for your loss. When he was at the City he was a good friend. Over the years we didn't see each other much but every time we saw each other he said something funny to say and we had a good laugh. My sympathies are with you. Rest in Peace Greg.
My deepest sympathies to the Priamo Family including all at Zelinka Priamo. Greg was always a great listener and one whom solved problems and faced challenges with great acumen. He will be deeply missed.
Our sincere condolences to Bobbi, Natalie and Adam. What a loss this is and departed way to soon. There are no words to do Greg or this loss justice. He was just such an all around awesome person. I so enjoyed his sense of humour and banter. He was always positive, upbeat and fun and I think back fondly of a few vacations we got to spend with you quite a few years ago. Greg is just one of these people who will not be soon forgotten and he will live on and on in so many of our memories. Sending you lots of strength, love and hugs to help you weather through this grief. May family, friends and time ease your pain in due course. “Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.” Aidan and Claudia Malpass
Greg, and I met when his career was in full bloom some 30 years ago. Greg, you were a solid friend and one I always enjoyed reaching out to. You made me laugh, you made me think. You were always upbeat and I always new you would be there when I needed important advise. I thought you would be there forever, and it was shocking news you shared with me this past summer. Bobbi Adam and Natalie, my heart goes out to each of you. With deepest condolences. Peter
We are devastated at the passing of our beloved brother and brother in law Greg he was loved by our family and always ready to assist any of us in need he was kind and considerate. We will miss him greatly and will be there for Bobbi Adam and Natalie in their time of need

He was always fun to be around. Greg will be deeply missed by everyone who encountered his positive outlook.
I would always smile when I thought of my dear cousin Greg. He filled the room with his wonderful laugh and big personality. I’m going to miss him and the love and joy he brought to family gatherings. Bobbi-Lyn, Adam and Natalie, I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope you gain comfort and strength in knowing how much you were loved. I agree with comments from others that family was everything to Greg. I also send my deepest sympathy to all my dear Priamo cousins, their spouses and children and to Uncle Tony. Hold each other close and know that you are loved and supported by so many friends and family.
Greg was a driving force in the planning world and I had the opportunity to not only work with him on many projects through the years but fortunate over that time to become a good friend of mine. I offer my sincerest condolences to Greg’s entire family. He was a great man! Rest easy buddy.
I have known Greg for over 30 years as a planner and friend. I loved his candour and his “get the job done” attitude. Behind that tough fascade was a genuine guy, who would go the extra mile for people. They don’t make many Greg Priamo’s anymore, and I will cherish the memories. To Bobbi-Lyn and family and Richard his business partner, Connie and I extend our deepest sympathies at your loss.
Greg, you will be in our thoughts and prayers. I have many great memories of our times together as young children in Guelph and London. You will be deeply missed. Words fail me at this time . All our love to you and your family. Cousin Chris and family.

Dear Bobbi-Lyn, Adam, and Natalie, our sincerest sympathies to you all during this difficult time. Jennifer, Theo, Sarah, and Emily
My deepest sympathies to Bobbi-Lyn, Adam Natalie, and the Priamo extended family. I have had the pleasure of being the accountant for many years for the ZPL company and family. And it was a pleasure dealing with Greg. He always had a jest or joke no matter the nature of the phone call or meeting. An up right and generous citizen that will be missed by many. May you rest in Peace, Greg.
Greg was the guy you enjoyed working with and doing business together as an honest and forthright professional in his field with a magnetic personality with lots and lots to say. It is sad he has been taken from his family in the prime of his life and career. He will be sorely missed in the planning and development industry as a professional and as an individual.
Please pass on to the family of Greg Priamo my deepest sympathy on Greg’s passing. Having known Greg for many years as a client and a friend, I can, as can many, many others to the fact that he was a very special guy….talented, professional and with a lovely sense of humour. He will be missed by a great number of the London and Ontario population. Bob Siskind
Greg was a wonderful mentor who demonstrated tremendous patience and faith in many new planners. The profession is better because of his contributions. He will be missed very much. To Bobbi, Adam and Natalie and his extended family, our sincere condolences.
Thoughts and Prayers to the Priamo Family. Greg was funny, sincere and always shared great planning stories. It was a pleasure to have worked with Greg over the years.
A terrible and sudden loss of a great guy. As a fellow University student, Greg was always full of energy and humour no matter who was around. You could tell then that he would do very well in his career, as he was smart and dynamic. We have crossed paths over the years through our work, but sadly not seen him in a number of year. Sincerest condolences to his family.
Greg was a mentor and advisor. I'm not sure I will ever have the opportunity to work with someone who was equal parts as smart and as funny as he was. He was one of the most dedicated people I've ever met - he was just so reliable... he always made the time to chat through a complex issue and of course simplify it while making you laugh hysterically. Although Greg could have been jaded by all the challenges he had seen in his career with real estate and land development - he was instead both realistic and optimistic. He believed in the impossible - and had so much wisdom. He always knew that at the end of his expert advice was the possibility that something he had never seen before could happen. My sincere condolences to his family, friends and the ZP Team. I'm thinking of you all - the whole real estate community has had such a profound loss.
My deepest sympathies to the Priamo family and Greg's colleagues at ZPL. Greg was an accomplished planner who represented his clients with integrity and a passion for results. He has left his mark on many communities in Ontario and it was a pleasure to have worked with Greg on projects in St. Thomas. His at times fiery passion for his clients was balanced by his warmth and sense of humor. He will be missed.
My sincerest condolences to Greg's family and those closest to him. Greg was always the professional. He will be missed.
Our condolences to Bobbi-Lyn, Adam , Natalie and the Priamo family. You and Greg are in our prayers and thoughts.
Sending my deepest condolences to Bobbi-Lyn, Adam and Natalie. Greg was always a smiling face at every dance recital and performance. He often could be seen waiting for Natalie at the end of a dance night in his car and always gave a wave and a smile. Greg was an amazing DL dance dad. Holding you all in my heart and sending love to you all.
In the thirty or so years that our professional lives intersected, Greg's convictions and leadership in local planning and development were so notable in practice that they will surely also be now noted for their absence as time marches on. He will be missed not only as a planner but as a member of the community who made his many contributions. Life is too short for too many. Rest in peace.
I knew Greg for many years and enjoyed working with him on several projects. I found him to be a bright and pragmatic problem solver and I had faith in his opinion. I also enjoyed his witty sense of humour. Over the years our conversations became less about work and more about life. I considered him as more then a consultant. He was a good friend. My sincere condolences to his dear family. He spoke of you often. Goodbye my friend. You are surely missed.
my deepest condolences to Bobbi-Lyn, Adam and Natalie. My daughter Stephanie told me last year that "Greg was the nicest person she has worked with." It has truly been a pleasure working with him. He will be truly missed.

Very sad... love and light.. he will be deeply missed by many. RIP Greg
As is evidenced above, Greg made a large impact on so many in the community. When I first met him, his personable demeanour made it feel like we were instantly long time friends. He gave sage advice to friends and colleagues, and his delivery was brought with practicality and wit (a great combo in this field of work). I will miss working with him, and our chats beyond our profession. My condolences to Bobbi-Lyn, Adam, and Natalie; and to Richard, and his colleagues at Zelinka Priamo. He will be missed.
I'm very sad that we've lost Greg. I'm really going to miss his sense of humour, intellect, passion for development and the mentorship he provided to many in the planning profession. Greg was always thinking about how he could make things work -- this pragmatism was a necessary feature in planning our city. He worked exceptionally hard, built a strong team and handled the stress of the "person in the middle" between the client and the City better than I've seen from anyone else. That always amazed me and I have no doubt it was tough on him at times. He cared deeply about London and its future and we're better for it. Rest well, Greg -- your legacy will endure in all who you have touched.
Bobbi-Lyn, Adam and Natalie. So very sorry for your loss. Greg was a wonderful man and a good friend to many. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very difficult time.
It is with an extremely heavy heart that I say goodbye to Uncle Greg. Always the biggest joker, we will miss the way you light up the room. My thoughts and prayers are with Bobbi, Adam, Natalie, and the rest of the family as we look for strength to move forward.
Greg was a kind, gracious, thoughtful guy whom I respected greatly. I had the opportunity to see his work and vision come to life over many years in our community and his integrity and knowledge was unparalleled. He will be missed by so many people who had the privilege of knowing him. My condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. Sincerely, Dan Mathieson

To the Priamo siblings, I am so very sad to hear of the loss of your brother. We were UW friends, and supported each other as we graduated and entered the work force.
