Brent Bidner

Brent was kind, funny and just had a way about him. He had an undeniable presence and the best laugh. He loved watching and playing baseball and hockey and was an integral part of any team he was on. An avid golfer who was having fun on the course no matter how he was hitting the ball. He enjoyed watching football on Sunday afternoons. If you knew him, you couldn’t help but love Brent and whatever you were doing, you were having more fun because he was a part of it.

Predeceased by his Mom, Joan. Brent will be forever missed by his Dad, Ken; sister, Lesley, as Brent called her, his “other sister” Katie; and his amazing son, Axl Wallace Bidner (Rachel Wallace).

Brent was a son, brother, friend, best man, colleague and much more. But his favourite name was “Dada”. Being a Dad was everything to Brent. He was excited to share his passion for sports with Axl and watch him experience life. Brent and Axl enjoyed visits to the park, reading together, playing hockey with mini sticks and going to the Fall Fair (Axl really liked the strawberry sundaes at the fair!). Brent wanted the world for Axl and couldn’t wait to walk through it together.

Through school, many sports teams, his career and travels, Brent made many lifelong friendships. He meant a lot to so many people and there are just too many to name at the risk of missing someone. He would have wanted you to know just how much your friendships meant to him. Brent will always be loved and missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and his many friends. These people are a community that will forever feel this loss and will always carry his memory with them.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Sunningdale Golf & Country Club, 465 Sunningdale Road West, London on Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Brent are asked to consider the GoFundMe (see Donations link above) that has been started in Brent’s honour for Axl. It is our sincere hope that any funds raised will remind Axl of just how much his Dad loved him, how much Brent meant to his family and friends, and how truly special he was.
