Our most sincere condolences on the passing of Antonio. He and Carmela were friends with my parents Maria and Giovanni, both now deceased. Antonio was in Mount Hope at the same time as my mother Maria. He would go to visit mom frequently and they would talk and pass the time. Every Sunday while Kathleen sang at mass, Antonio would come and sit next to me. He would talk about his family and how proud he was of them. He would talk about Carmela and how he missed her. He would talk about life in general and how he became to be a resident at Mount Hope. We shared memories of many years past when he and Carmela would visit with my parents. Antonio, a gentleman for all ages and a life to be emulated. As long as he is in your hearts he will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace, for one day we shall all meet again. Our Deepest Condolences to the De Lucia family Henry & Kathleen Pasquini

A donation has been made to Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal - Red Cross Canada. Message from the donator: Dear Phil, Daniela, Marcella, Leanna and all the De Lucia family, Please accept our deepest sympathy on the loss of your much-loved family patriarch, Papa Nonno Tonino, “Tony” De Lucia. Our son, John, was lucky enough to meet and marry his eldest grandchild, Daniela, and so Greg and I were welcomed into Tony and Carmela’s large and colourful Italian-Canadian family. We will always remember his amazing hospitality towards us and especially his beautiful backyard garden-orchard so close to the University of Western Ontario where he was employed for many years. Together with Carmela, they taught our grandchildren, Arianna and Nathan, Italian culture and the beautiful result of hard work. How touching that, at the time of his passing away, the De Lucia family has chosen the Canadian Red Cross - Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal to honour his memory with such impact ! Vichnaya pamyat (forever remembered), Greg & Evelyn Kozoriz
Tony has been our dear friend and neighbour for 42 years, and we will miss him so much. Tony loved us like family and watched our children grow with his grandchildren. He and Carmella taught us to make wine and tomato sauce in the true Italian way, and we continue the tradition. He was always willing to lend a hand in any way he could. Tony was an amazing man, husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family with all his heart! May he rest in peace. Love Lois, Tom, Karen and Laura
