Ronald Hussain

March 6, 2022

At Victoria Hospital on Sunday, March 6, 2022, with family by his side, Ron “Ronnie” Hussain of London, in his 82nd year. Survived by his wife Diana in Trinidad and by his first wife Corry of London. Loving dad to Ricky (Kayla), Billy, Jackie (Frank Pepe) and Nikkianne. Dear brother of Maureen Gallant of PEI and Marlene Hussain of Trinidad. Proud grandpa to Tyler, Michael, Maya and Kyla.

Ron was loved by everyone who was lucky enough to have met him. He lit up any room and always welcomed anyone into his home to share a glass or two. His quick smile and love of his life, his friendships and his family will never be forgotten and forever cherished. He was such a proud Trini! An excellent cook, he loved to experiment with international cuisine, yet Friday night tradition was always BBQ steak and a bottle (or two) of red wine. The “Hussain Family cook off” will have to wait for another day.

A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please spend time with, and enjoy those you love. That is a precious gift.

Forever grateful for the wonderful nurses, doctors and staff at LHSC. Your compassion and care of daddy will never be forgotten. You made a difference.

Rick and Family. We were so saddened to read of the death of your father. Although we never enjoyed the pleasure of meeting your Dad we know, without a doubt, that his bright infectious smile, his open spirit, and his warm heart shone through in you Rick, and so, through you, we got to know a part of him and what a very special man (like you) he certainly was. We are holding you all in our thoughts and our prayers as you grieve. Be gentle with yourselves.

I have never physically been to Trinidad but since meeting Ron over 25 years ago, I have experienced and adopted the "Trini" way culturally and through excellent cuisine, friendship. music and libation. So many wonderful and fun memories have been flooding my mind since Ron's passing. I am so grateful to have shared exceptional family, friends and occasions, usually at Ron's home, with the traditional loud, "jump up" contagious music. Thanks for so generously sharing your warm welcoming circle. Sending my love and condolences to Ron's family. How caring, supportive and loving you have been during this exceptionally difficult time. He would be so proud and grateful. God bless you all! R.I.P. Ronnie, you will be missed but never forgotten.
