David Anthony Cake

David passed away suddenly and peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022, at University Hospital, London, Ontario, at age 73. He is survived by his wife Janice “Jan” and sons Aaron and Nicholas “Nick” (Beth). Gramps to Aubrey, Theo, and Bennett and missed by his sister Susan (Al Draper).

David retired from London Police Services after 35 years of service as a police constable. He was an avid collector of police memorabilia, a history and military buff, and a Blue Jays fan.

We are comforted and grateful to the medical professionals who took care of David for so many years, especially our family physician, Dr. Ann Spence and her Medical Health Team.

David defied the odds in living as long as he did. In the end, however, he was tired and in a body that was failing him. In David’s memory, please consider a donation to JDRF Canada.
