Donald Alan Lamont

Passed away peacefully at LHSC – University Hospital on Thursday, July 8, 2022, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Rheta for 72 years. Loving father of Cynthia and the late Christine Anne King and Geary Donald Lamont. Adored grandfather of Cassandra Scott, Dan and Steve King, step-grandfather of Sarah and Lindsay Martin, Care and John Lamont and Heather Barret. Great-grandfather of Savannah, Isaac, Charlotte and Harris King, Maximus Martin, Evelyn Scott and Theodora Vanlofseld. Donald was a successful businessman with his partnership Lamont and Mann, building, selling and maintaining cash registers. You could find his ‘business machines’ all over North America. During this time, he was also the most loving husband to his beautiful wife and the best dad to his three lovely children. In his later years as a grandfather, he was a kind soul who was always quick to share wisdom and stories of his youth. Donald was a hardworking man that cared deeply for his family. A memorial for Donald will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., there will be an open casket viewing for those who wish to say their goodbyes, followed by words of remembrance and refreshments from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Donald are asked please consider the Soaring Association of Canada or The London Soaring Club. Even in his late 80s you could find Don high in the sky soaring amongst the clouds. Rest in Peace Don.
