Karen Lorraine Lelievre

May 3, 2025

Peacefully at home on Saturday, May 3, 2025, Karen Lorraine Lelievre passed away at the age of 56. Beloved wife of Andrew Lelievre and proud mother of Austin, Melissa, and the late Nicholas. Karen was the cherished daughter of Judy Gale, dear sister of Kevin Craig, and predeceased by her sister Tara.

A graduate of Clarke Road Secondary School, where she once starred as Sandy in Grease, Karen went on to earn her degree from Western University (Huron College). She formed lifelong friendships that she treasured deeply, and those friends remained an important part of her life throughout the years. Karen loved her first job at Wendy’s that evolved into entrepreneurship when she owned and operated a Sunoco franchise. She later brought that same dedication and enthusiasm to sales, first at Bell Canada and most recently with FloorSource, where her warmth and genuine care for customers made her a standout colleague. A gifted performer, Karen lit up the stage with her beautiful singing voice and magnetic presence in community theatre productions, notably with the Strathroy Community Players and the Port Stanley Summer Theatre. She also loved roller skating and cherished traveling, especially Caribbean cruises taken with family and friends. Karen’s legacy is one of laughter, music, kindness, and love—a light that will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew her.

This light was found in her love for her family. Karen loved her family. That love was founded in her faith in the Lord Jesus and the Catholic Church. Her prayers and steadfast perseverance got her through some tough times, always with a smile on her face and Andrew by her side. Her ability to walk through the valley of death was based on the hope and promise of heaven through Jesus. The recent cruise was the second last thing on her bucket list, and the last thing on her list was heaven. Although we want her here, she is with Jesus. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine on her. May she rest in peace.
