Our hearts are filled with love and cherished memories as we share the passing of Maria Dos Anjos De Jesus Mota.
Maria left this world peacefully on the morning of June 24th 2025, in University Hospital, London, Ontario at the age of 74, with her loving family by her side.
Beloved wife of Abilio for 56 years. Loving mother to Paula (Jose), Sonia (Jonathan) and Teresa (Mike). Adored Vovó to Daniella, Bruno, Adriana and Anthony. Cherished sister to Leanor (Manuel), Diamantino (Deidre), Palmira (Joaquin), Nela (Manuel) and sister-in-law to Antonio (Preciosa). Predeceased by parents Jose and Emilia and sister Lourdes.
Maria’s life is a demonstration of inspiring strength and resiliency in the face of great adversity; and as the Matriarch of our family, her loss will be felt by so many, including her PHamily.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, July 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, London.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) of Canada.

Bill and Family- I am saddened to learn of Maria’s passing. She was a kindly fellow resident and I enjoyed our many chats. My condolences to the family.
Dearest Maria, You fought so hard but it wasn’t meant to be, you went through so much but never gave up, an inspiration to us all. You will forever be in our hearts and minds never to be forgotten. Abilio, Paula, Sonia, Terry and family, You have lost a wonderful strong person, our hearts are with you all during this difficult time, keep strong. “Mrs. Mota” (as I used to call her), will be very missed by all of the lives she touched. We send strength & our prayers to her entire family, as they are faced with such a tremendous loss. To Billy, Paula, Teresa and Sonia… our deepest condolences to all of you. 💕
