In memory of Dad (Raymond Stanley Law) I was deeply saddened to learn of my father’s passing when I happened upon his obituary. Although we had been out of contact for many years, I was surprised by how deeply his passing affected me. I have so many wonderful memories of my Dad and of the years we shared as a family. I was about 13 when my parents separated, but before that, we had many happy years together—family camping trips, vacations, celebrations, and countless special moments that I will always cherish. Some of my favourite memories are of my father taking me hunting, fishing and canoeing, teaching me to play guitar, and taking me along for rides in his transport truck while he was working. My children loved when we were in London and they got to see Grampa and he would play guitar for them. These are just a few of the memories that have stayed with me and my family over the years, and I will always be grateful for them. I was also deeply saddened to see that neither I, nor my children, were mentioned in his obituary. So, for the sake of remembrance, I would like to add that he is survived by his daughter, Shari, and his two grandchildren. He also now has a great grandchild. Although we were apart for many years, he is still my Dad, and those early years and the memories we made will always be a part of me as they were a part of him.
