It is with loving hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Cathy Bloxam, surrounded by loved ones, on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the age of 64. Cathy is survived by her sister and brother, Nancy and Ron (Lisa) and their children, Carly and Cole, and was predeceased by her parents, Bob and Norraine Bloxam. Cathy will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
Cathy attended Oakridge Secondary School, Fanshawe College for Recreation, followed by achieving her BA from Western University, and then a Bachelor of Education from Windsor University. Cathy was a dedicated teacher and coach and retired with the Thames Valley District School Board.
Through the years, her many well-loved hamsters brought her great joy. A kind hearted lover of small creatures, Cathy often fed chipmunks right from her hand. Cathy was a regular at bingo and the casino, which resulted in many memorable road trips with friends. She was a London Knights fan who enjoyed countless games over the years. Other interests included baseball, golf, swimming, diving, water polo and P.U.C. lifeguarding.
A special thanks to all her Health Care providers.

Sad to see of Cathy's passing. I remember her well from Oakridge Secondary School. Cathy was always kind, and tons of fun. Condolences.
I am so sorry to learn of Cathy passing. I was a Life Guard at Gibbons Park with Cathy. I often think back to those days with lots laughter and genuine friendship. My thoughts are with her loved ones at this difficult time.

Dear Cathy~~ In spite of living 600 miles apart, we somehow found each other 9 years ago online, on a hamster care forum, where our shared love of these tiny creatures brought us together. Our connection was so easy, as though we already knew each other. We shared our daily lives, events big and small, chatting several times a week~~ memories that I hold so close to my heart. Visiting you in 2019 was another of those memories. You were the perfect host and made sure I experienced all the beauty of the London, Ontario area~~ the Great Lakes, Niagara Falls, the Butterfly Conservatory. And you shared some everyday experiences with me too like bingo night and meeting the incredibly tame chipmunks in your backyard. My heart holds on to these memories to keep you close. Love is not goodbye, it’s a warm breeze wherever I am, reminding me that our hearts will always find each other. Love you so much my dear friend.
