Violet “June” Switzer (née Hewitt)

Passed away peacefully at Country Terrace Long Term Care Residence on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
June was in her 95th year and is survived by her loving husband of 75 years, Lloyd, her daughters Cheri Ansley (Peter), Patricia King (Wayne) and her sons Rob Switzer (Pamela), Kevin Switzer (Brenda), Kim Switzer (Julie), 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. June was predeceased by her grandson Joshua Switzer. June will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Dr. Rachael Bevin and all the wonderful caring staff at Country Terrace. The compassion and kindness shown will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be open to family and friends at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Rd North, London, ON, Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., followed by a short service and light lunch.

I remember your mum from nursing school at Victoria Hospital. We were classmates. I admired her for her courage to return to pursue a career after raising a family. She was so eager to learn and always so kind to everyone. I am truly sorry for your loss.

I remember working with June when she was a Student Nurse at Victoria Hospital. I admired how she was pursuing that career with a small Family at home and with being twice my age at the time. My Condolenceses to your Entire Family.

Your Mom was in my nursing class Vic "76". Always so positive and encouraging. As I aged I would often think how amazing it was for June to have returned to school to study nursing. My condolences to June's family. Cindy Duff
