Don Razon
October 31, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Don Razon on Friday, October 31, 2025, at the age of 42. He was the beloved husband of Rinah and devoted father to his young daughters, Georgina and Sabrina. Don is also survived by his mother, Milagros, brothers, Alfred, Milfred and Marlon, and was predeceased by his father, Alfredo.
Don was well-loved by his family and friends. He was passionate about helping others long-term and was always finding new ways to help young people around him succeed. He was a friend to everyone and was always ready when help was needed. Don went out of his way to travel to far places to bring help to those in most need. He was a person for others with a heart overflowing with love.
Don worked at the Ateneo de Naga University (AdNU) for 20 years, serving in various capacities – a faculty member of the College of Computer Studies, network systems administrator, basketball student-athlete program coordinator, and AdNU representative to Bicol Universities and Colleges Athletic League (BUCAL). He also volunteered in several youth development programs such as National Basketball Training Center (NBTC), For the Future, Kids for Kids and Christ’s Youth in Action.
In August 2025, Don moved with his family to Canada to provide a brighter future for his daughters.
Don’s kindness, passion for helping others, and dedication to his family will be deeply missed. His legacy of love and service will live on in all who knew him.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, London on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. (11:00 p.m. PHST UTC/GMT). For those unable to attend a livestream will be available. To view the livestream click on Remembering Don

Hi Kuya Don. I can't believe you're truly gone. I still remember you always greeting me and always asking how I was during college. I always appreciated you reaching out and giving me advice and encouraging me. I'm sure I'm not the only one who remembers you for always extending your arm and helping others. Kuya Don, Thank you po for making a difference everywhere you go. We already miss you.
I honor you, bro — not just as a brother, but as a true companion and friend. I’ll never forget the moments we shared and how you always made sure I was part of your joy in life. Paaram bro, you’ve finished your greatest race. You’ll always be remembered and loved.

Thank you for your service Don! It is too sudden for us. But we know that you are in the best hands and that is with our creator, our Father God! Humbled and grateful that you have touched hundreds, if not thousands, of people. Your story will live on! Vaya Con Dios

Coach Don, Your passing has touched me deeply, and I believe, all of us who have shared a part of your life. You were and will always remain a cherished part of our lives, the AdNU Basketball Program, and the BUCAL family and everyone whom you have touched in one way or another. This photo, capturing the last meal we shared—enjoying good beer, stories, and laughter—remains a treasured memory for me and all of us. Thank you so much for giving witness to Christ by generously giving and living up to the “prayer of generosity” through the simple things that you’ve said and impactful things you’ve done—through living your life to the fullest. I know that you will be welcomed by the angels in heaven (hope you will share our “bounce 👊🏼” greeting with them). You will always be remembered in my prayers, Coach! 👊🏼 and special prayers goes for Ate Rinah and your daughters-Momay and Sab! Til we meet again! Requiem aeternam dona ei, Domine; Et lux perpetua luceat ei. + Requiescat in pace. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

It was an honor, being a part of your cybersecurity class. Your lesson on never trusting anyone and never feeling safe will always remind me how great of an instructor you were. May your soul rest in peace, sir Don.
Thank you Coach Don, for all the lessons, for all the mentoring, and for all the help you gave me. I will always cherish my memories with you. I’ve become a better person because of you and the program and for that, I will always be grateful.
Thank you, Sir Don, for your warm smiles and greetings when we see each other in Ateneo. My deepest condolences and prayers to your family. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Thank you, Kuya Don, for every lesson, every moment of encouragement, and every quiet act of support. You helped me serve CYA AdNU with purpose and heart. Your faith, your presence, and your unwavering belief in us—these will never be forgotten. Until we meet again, in the fullness of God’s promise.
It still feels unreal. I can’t believe you’re gone, Kuya Don. You’ve always been someone I looked up to — patient, kind, and full of faith. Thank you for being such a steady presence and for everything you’ve shared with us in CYA. I pray that your soul is at peace in God’s loving embrace. May your family find strength and comfort in this difficult time. You will always be remembered, Kuya Don. Until we meet again. 🙏🤍
It feels surreal coming to terms that Don is gone. He was a very good and loyal friend, always accommodating, always with a smile, and always thoughtful, and full of life. He gave without counting the cost. He will be deeply missed.

This was the last time I saw you. In Naga. Depedida party for you by the BUCAL volunteers. I'm glad I went home to Naga last June. I got to see you - and let you know how much I appreciate you and value what you have done for our basketball program and for the culture of sports in Bicol. I will sincerely miss you, Don. Salamat na marhay sa pagtobod sa pangitorogan ko sa basketball asin sa sports.

To the family of Don Razon. You may not know me but I interviewed and hired Don and was ready to start his career with us on Monday. I wanted you to know that I am shocked and so very sad that you lost such a lovely human being. I can confidently say that Don was one of the kindest and most caring people I have ever met. Although I only knew him for a short time. I could feel his wonderful presence radiating I am praying and wishing you all strength and endurance during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
