Rhonda Marie Warecki

June 14, 1967 - November 19, 2025

At Victoria Hospital on November 19, 2025, after a twelve-month battle with Neuroendocrine Cancer. Beloved daughter of Don and Linda (Morgan) Merritt of Kincardine; dear sister of Robin (Ron) Van Moorsel, Theresa Merritt (Peter), and Tanya Merritt (Nick). Cherished wife of George; adored mother of Natalie Nurse (Jake), and loved stepmother of Jessica Cadick (Simon). Precious niece of Jane and Allan Bowers, and Betty Jeanne Catto.  Dear sister-in-law of Grant (Vera), John (Patricia), and Susan. Predeceased by grandparents Charlie and Margaret Merritt, and Bessie and Frank Morgan, uncles Fred (Gail), Billy and Tommy Morgan and Ron Catto, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Joe and Irene Warecki. Survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends, especially Leslie Nuttall (Doug). Rhonda will be missed by many co-workers and parents of former pupils, and numerous teammates from soccer and pickleball.

Born in Kincardine, Rhonda grew up in Kitchener, Ingersoll, and Oakville where she attended high school. After obtaining her diploma in Early Childhood Education at Sheridan College, she completed a BA at York University. Rhonda loved working with young children. After rejoining her family in London, she had a long career in childcare, providing professional and fun-filled learning at several centres, most recently Sir Arthur Currie Public School.

Visitation will take place on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, ON. Funeral Service will he conducted at Westview Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow the service at Woodland Cemetery, London.

Donations may be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre at Victoria Hospital.

It was an honour to meet and support this loving family. Rhonda had a sparkle and warmth every time I met with her. It was clear her love for her family and her 'kids' through her school. My condolences to the Warecki family during this difficult time.
