Shane was one of my CASS mates. He had a brilliant mind, good sense of humour, and always that mischievous glint in his eye. It's hard to imagine that there won't be any more ripostes coming, and that I might finally get the last word. Fly high dear friend we will miss you. xx Alanea

Dad, I dont know how to move forward knowing you are gone. I had such a special life as your kiddo, and every single thing I have learned in this life, I first experienced through you, and a part of me has gone with you, on your journey home. For those who had the beautiful honor of knowing and loving my dad, you will know he loved everyone with such passion and heart. He would have wanted his life celebrated, bright colour's, big laughter, and to always love nature, as he did. I love you buckets, Dad. ❤️🩹
My old friend and car racing buddy will be missed terribly. I recall all the times together and great conversations, so fondly. Rest in peace dear Shane. Till we reunite. With big hugs, me and Jennifer
A donation has been made to Critical Care Unit, Victoria Hospital London. Message from the donator: Dear Bev and family, Shane, as you know, was an unforgettable, larger-than-life character worthy of a novel. Who knows, he may yet show up in one! Treat yourself gently, Love, Pat and Joe
Shane would visit the farm with his son Cole and show him around where they would play as kids and work as he was growing up. Telling us some some stories about the farm and family. Always a good time when he was coming by. Our condolences to the family with the passing of Shane.
Bev, I am so very sorry to hear of Shane's passing. He was such a great friend to Bruce and I, and always joined us in the sugar house at syrup time. My thoughts and prayers are with you. So very sorry. Lynda💜
oh Shane, what a unique character you were and so much fun!! i’m glad we had the opportunity to visit with you in the past couple years, always awesome to see you show up at a gig I was doing. I will miss your smile.
As one of Shane's Cassmates I shall remember him for his agile mind, his warm and attentive friendship and as a founding member of The 17th Sweaburg Lancers. So many boisterous gatherings filled with questionable storytelling and other such nonsense. I hate scotch, but I will raise one to you Shane, as you did in honour of my father so many times. Iechyd da!
Rest in peace my friend. Always looked forward to seeing you. Until we meet again. Cheers
Bev, Cole, & Brown Family members - I hope we can connect soon and celebrate the life and legacy of Uncle Shane. He was a passionate, interesting, and loving man who cared about his many family and friends, wholeheartedly. He and his storytelling abilities will be sincerely missed. Love, Olivia (& Jamie)

Dear Bev Shane was a very special person and he will be sadly missed. As cousins we shared many hours together. I have attached a photo from 1986. Same smile. A little more hair. Keep smiling about the happy times.

Shane was one of a kind. We went through a collaborative journey working together for many years, facilitating Canadian trade and navigating the labyrinth of trade regulation. We shared and enjoyed many successes attributable to Shane’s intellect and tenacity. Shane had a huge heart, and his passion for his work and the love he shared with family and friends knew no bounds. Lynn and I shared many good times together with Shane and wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to Shane’s family. Darrel Pearson
