Eliol Oswald Snook passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the age of 88. He is survived by his beloved partner, Janice Yeaman. Dear father of Angela, Lisa (Michael), Marvin (Kathy) and Golda. A loving grandfather of April, Sarah, Jonathan (Angie), Jacob, Tyson, Colton and Mackenzie. Loving great-grandfather of Theodore, Elliott and Glory.
Eliol was born in Sunnyside, Newfoundland, on December 10, 1937, and later moved to London, Ontario. He loved being outdoors and was a great storyteller of days spent fishing. He made friends everywhere he went and always mentioned a song or two by his famous artist, Neil Diamond. Eliol was an avid yard saler and enjoyed collecting vintage and unique items. His loved ones all benefited from his outings.
He will be sadly missed, and we hold his memory in our hearts. Eliol’s wish was for his final resting place to be in Sunnyside, Newfoundland.
Eliol was undergoing cancer treatments at the time, and if you wish, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
