Lewis Earl Carter

Lewis passed away peacefully at home, with family by his side, on Thursday, May 14, 2026, in his 67^th year. Beloved husband of Barbara Carter for 32 years. Loving father of Mackenzie Carter (Jack). Loving brother of Rick Carter (Kris), Nicole Jodoin, and Rob Carter (Lindsay). Predeceased by his sister Suzanne, his parents, Lewis Sr. and Monique (Nikki), and his mother, Marjorie.

For 38 years, he served his community with unwavering courage and strength as a firefighter, answering every call with bravery and dedication. Even in the face of ALS, his iron will never faltered, and he faced each day with the same resilience and determination that defined his life of service. Beloved by his wife and daughter, he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and courage that will not be forgotten.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Westview Funeral Home, 709 Wonderland Road North, London.  A Celebration of Life will follow on Friday, May 22, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m. with words of remembrance at 2:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Lew are asked to consider the ALS Society of Canada or the London Burn Unit at LHSC.
