William Joseph (Bill) Dunlop

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Patriarch William J. Dunlop in his 93rd year on December 21, 2025. He was such a fighter and had gone through so much in the last 5-6 years and we were lucky to have him for this long.

He was a remarkable man that left his mark on many. He was an Educator & Coach to many and we have had many people tell us that they became teachers & coaches due to the influence our Father had on them. He loved his job and often talked about kids he taught and coached over the years.

He was a terrific athlete in his day and we are proud that he has a banner hanging in the gym at CCH to mark his accomplishments. He was a very good golfer (8 holes in one) and curler (many championships, including mixed Ontario Champs with our Mom). He could whip anyone at a game of cards and was still playing a great game of cribbage up until a few weeks ago until his 92 year old body had finally had enough.

We would like to thank the Palliative Care Team on the 10th floor of University Hospital. They were very kind and dedicated in keeping our Dad comfortable and in no pain.

He leaves behind his wife Barb of nearly 71 years, 5 children, 2 daughters-in-law, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., with the sharing of memories at 3:00 p.m.
