Chloy Loukas

February 16, 1935 - June 5, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Chloy Loukas, who passed away peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2026, at the age of 91.

Chloy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Theodore Loukas, and her cherished grandchildren, Angelika Melissa Loukas and Jeremy Robert.  She is lovingly remembered by her stepchildren, Constantinos Loukas (Anne Loukas) and Georgina Mihalopulos (Jon Mihalopulos); her grandchildren, Georgios, Theodoros and Angelika Mihalopulos, Theodore Constantinos Loukas (Mai Loukas), and Athena Marie Loukas. She will also be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends, both here and abroad.

Chloy was born on February 16, 1935, in Morphou, Cyprus. She was the second oldest of four children. She was predeceased by her brothers, Christos and Rico. She is survived by her sister, Artemis, who resides in England.

At the age of 15, Chloy immigrated with her family to England, where they settled and built a new life. She later made Canada her home, but never lost her strong connection to England, where many cherished family members remained.

Throughout her life, Chloy embraced adventure and traveled extensively around the world alongside her younger brother, Rico, and sister-in-law, Helen. An exceptionally talented seamstress, she was invited by her uncle to spend six months in Nigeria, where she taught her craft to others at a hotel he owned. Her skills, determination, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Although London, England, remained close to her heart, Chloy eventually settled in London, Ontario. Despite the distance, she maintained strong bonds with her brothers, sister, nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was deeply loved by all who knew her.

Throughout her life, Chloy was also known for her exceptional cooking and amazing pastries. Anyone who knew her likely had the pleasure of tasting one of her delicious baked goods. Her kitchen was often the heart of family gatherings, and her recipes will continue to be treasured by those she leaves behind.

More than anything, Chloy cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was always ready to lend a helping hand, offer advice, or provide comfort. Nothing seemed impossible when Yiayia was around.

Her love of flowers and gardening was evident in the beautiful front yard of her home on Fullarton Street in London, Ontario. Her remarkable gardens were even featured in The London Free Press, a source of pride for both her and her family.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Home, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, Ontario. Family and friends are invited to attend and share memories of Chloy.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Southbridge London Long-Term Care Home for the exceptional care, compassion, and dignity they provided to Chloy, as well as for the touching farewell they gave her.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Chloy’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered.

I will always remember Auntie Chloy as joyful and happy, she was always smiling. We sadly didn’t see her often but she was always in our thoughts. I will never forget our road trip from Canada to Orlando in 77. It’s one of my fondest memories and still can’t get over how 9 of us travelled all that way in 1 car! Love you auntie Chloy, Helen, Tom and family xx

Auntie Chloy had a special place in my heart. She was the Auntie that stood out a mile and her energy and character was like no other. She always spoilt me as the baby niece. She was loved by everyone here in London and we always spoke about with love & affection 💕. May she rest in piece. She'll definitely make heaven a brighter place with her love of roses & flowers. May she rest in peace.

I have very fond memories of my aunt Chloy from when I was a child, as she was always kind and loving. Even as an adult, she always called me on my birthday to wish me well. When I had my own children (Chloe and Tom), she always showed them kindness and affection. With love, Nick, Oona & family

My condolences for your loss. I have found memories of her delicious cookies, she would have for us, and sitting on the stairs of your home on Fillarton. May her memory live on eternally. Καλό ταξίδι στην αιώνια ζωή Κυρία Χλοη.... Καλό παράδεισο.
