What a wonderful tribute to Catherine, from her former Basketball team members. She continued to be an exceptional athlete on the badminton, tennis. & pickleball courts. She was always up for a challenge, & it was a privilege to play with her & against her. She inspired me as her hitting partner, even though she was going through the fight of her life. She always "Fought the good Fight!" A great competitor, & a very special friend! Rest in peace !

A Tribute to our Dear Cathy. Today, we bid farewell not just to an outstanding basketball player, but to a truly beautiful soul who touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was a strong pillar of our team wearing jersey Nbr 5 — always smiling, laughing, and lifting the spirits of those around her. Her infectious sense of humour, endless energy, cheerful banter and boundless enthusiasm could brighten even the toughest practice sessions and the most intense matches. Her jokes and witty parodies during return trips from tournaments created memories that will forever echo in our hearts. For seven glorious years, she wore the college colours with immense pride and dedication, bringing countless laurels and honours to the team. Her talent and perseverance took her to represent the University, the State, and ultimately earned her the honour of being selected to the Indian Team — a remarkable achievement that reflected her hard work, discipline, and love for the game. But beyond the medals and victories, what made her truly special was the way she made every teammate feel valued and included. She shared a special bond with each member of the team, inspiring unity, friendship, and an unbreakable spirit of togetherness. Her presence taught us that basketball was not just about winning games, but about building lifelong friendships and standing by one another. Though she may no longer be with us on the court, her legacy lives on in every memory, every laugh we shared, and every lesson she taught us about courage, commitment, and camaraderie. Her place in our team can never be filled, and her absence will be deeply felt. She may have left this world, but she will forever remain a cherished part of our basketball family. We will remember her not with tears alone, but with gratitude for having known her, played alongside her, and shared in the joy and warmth she so generously gave. Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Her spirit will forever dribble alongside us, her laughter will forever echo in our memories, and her legacy will continue to inspire generations of players to come. Rest in peace, dear friend and teammate. You will always be one of us, and you will always be loved. Miss Maya, John Mathai Sir and the Teresian Sports Team.
