Andrew William Muir

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Andrew William Muir, a longtime resident of London, Ontario, on Monday, July 6, 2026, at the age of 61.

Born on November 26, 1964, in Saskatoon, Andrew moved to London with his family at an early age. Andrew was a proud graduate of Western University and Fanshawe College. He worked in the hospitality industry and possessed an extraordinary memory for facts and trivia, a gift that made him both an engaging conversationalist and a formidable companion at any quiz or sporting discussion.

Andrew was a passionate sports fan throughout his life. He was a devoted Toronto Maple Leafs supporter through every season and a loyal Philadelphia Eagles fan whose enthusiasm for the NFL never wavered. Beyond sports, music was one of his greatest passions. He loved a variety of music genres, and especially loved 80’s garage punk and could often be found enjoying London’s local bar and live music scene, discovering new bands, or taking in outdoor concerts during the summer months.

Andrew treasured the friendships he built over a lifetime in London. He was fortunate to be surrounded by a close-knit circle of supportive friends whose companionship brought him great joy.

Andrew was predeceased by his beloved parents, John and Anne Muir.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Jane (Andy); his brother, Jonathan (Patty); and his cherished nieces and nephews, Emma (Dino), Ben, Adam (Emily), and Kingsley, along with his many dear friends and extended family.

A private Celebration of Life for family and close friends will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be sincerely appreciated.
