David (Dave) Robert Bedford
December 27, 1945 - August 10, 2026
Peacefully, surrounded by the love of family, on Monday, August 10, 2026 at University Hospital, London. Born December 27, 1945, Dave was in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Liz (née Hindman) for 58 years, cherished father of Christie (Bill) and David (Andrea). Affectionately known as “Guy” by his 4 grandchildren, Alex and Zach, and David and Chelsea, who adored him. Dear brother of Peter (Anne), and brother-in-law to Susan Kirk. Predeceased by his parents David and Frances. Dave will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
Dave built his career as an entrepreneur in long-term care. After retirement, Dave and Liz loved traveling the world, winters down south, and enjoying time with family and friends. Dave was a long-standing member of many different clubs, community groups and charitable organizations throughout the years. Dave had two favourite hobbies: golf and spoiling his grandchildren. If he wasn’t on the course, he was spending time with them. Dave enjoyed cooking, and one of his specialties was preparing a delicious prime rib dinner with homemade Yorkshire pudding. Couple this with a glass of fine wine and a cigar, and Dave was definitely in his happy place. These special times will be forever remembered and missed by his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at London Hunt and Country Club, 1431 Oxford Street West, London from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
