Peacefully at Parkwood Institute, on September 5, 2026, at the glorious age of 94, Lois Eleanor Saddy of London. Predeceased by her husband Fairhart Saddy (July 12, 2012). Cherished mother of Laurie Sher (Stan), Merrilee McGilloway, Ted Straughan, Samantha Abel (Peter), and Susan Duval. Proud Grandma of Amanda, Nathan, Trinity, Duncan, Stuart, Jamie, and Jessica. She will be missed by seven great-grandchildren, her brother Ross of Wingham, her sister Linda of Strathroy, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lois was predeceased by her grandchildren Laura, Matthew, Stefen, her sister Alice, and her parents Lloyd and Laura Hayden. Lois loved and was proud of her real estate career of 30 plus years.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery and Holy Family Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army Centre of Hope.

Lois an I met in 1970, while singing together in Sweet Adelines. I could never have imagined that meeting would be the beginning of a friendship that would last nearly 60 wonderful years. Through all those years Lois was always there for me - in good times, the difficult times, and all the moments in between. She was not simply my best friend, she was a part of my life and a part of my heart. After our husbands passed away, Lois and I shared a wonderful new chapter together. We travelled, laughed, explored and made memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. We went to the Bahamas and many other places, but our trip to New Orleans will always be especially dear to me. Lois loved jazz, and sitting together at Preservation Hall, surrounded by the music she loved, is a memory I will hold onto forever. After nearly six decades of friendship, it is almost impossible to imagine my life without Lois in it. I will miss her laughter, her companionship, her kindness and simply knowing she was there. I loved Lois dearly and I will miss her more than words can say. But I am so grateful for the beautiful years we shared, the adventures we had, and the countless memories that no one can ever take away. Goodbye my dear friend. You will always be in my heart.
