Felicia Anne Aves-Miguel (née Aves)

Suddenly, as a result of a tragic accident in London, Ontario, on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at University Hospital, London, at the age of 41.

Loving mother of Nigea, Leila and Daniel Jason (son of Fitzroy Miguel). Daughter of Elizabeth Aves, sister to Karma Aves, aunt to Sade Aves, niece of Garnett Schmidt, Robert Aves (Dawn), and several cousins.

Felicia was an exceptionally talented gymnast. At the age of 5, she discovered her love of gymnastics at Gym Kips. Even then, Felicia was impossible to miss. She was bright, bubbly, enthusiastic, and full of life. She had an incredible natural talent and could tumble as though it were the easiest thing in the world. She seemed to have an endless supply of energy, and her personality could light up an entire room.

For the past 20 years, Felicia poured that same passion and energy into teaching and mentoring the next generation through gymnastics, tumbling, and circus training. She didn’t simply teach skills – she connected with people. She made children feel seen, encouraged, capable, and special. Her huge heart and genuine ability to connect with anyone meant that she left an imprint on countless lives.

Felicia was a big personality with an even bigger heart. She brought laughter, enthusiasm, encouragement, and so much joy wherever she went. It is difficult to imagine our community, our gyms, and our lives without her presence. The number of people who loved her and were influenced by her is a testament to the incredible person she was.

Above all, Felicia was a mother. Her children, Nigea, Leila, and DJ, were at the centre of her world. Her mom, Betty, has always been a tremendous source of love and support for Felicia and her grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., with sharing of memories to take place at 8:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London.
