Carol Laverne Quesnel

We announce the passing of Carol Laverne Quesnel on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at the age of 96.  Carol was the daughter of the late Torrance and Caroline Preston. She had two sisters, Lenore and Jean, and three brothers, Orv, Vernal and Jim Preston.  Predeceased by husband Ed Quesnel in 2011 and daughter Tanys Quesnel in 1997.  Survived by Bonnie and Pamela Quesnel, as well as many nieces and nephews.  Special friends are Kate McDonald, Gail Marshall, and Barry Vosburg and family.

Carol lived in the same place for about 62 years and raised 3 daughters. She loved working on her flower beds, making skating rinks, and doing leather and wood work.  She made several quilts, sewed, loved to bake and was a good cook. She was also good at knitting and crocheting. In early 2011, she took up the computer to do emails, and she did well. After the girls left home, Carol took painting classes, and she enjoyed it very much.  She attended Lakeshore Community Church, and then when she moved to London several years ago, watched her church in London on YouTube.

We will miss Momma Carol, but know that she is in a better place now.

A graveside service will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, 1016 Colborne Road, Sarnia on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at 1:30 p.m.
