Lucia Assini

Passed peacefully at peopleCare Oakcrossing, on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Antonio Assini (1984) and of the late Ivan Hiller (2012). She was predeceased by her parents, Pasquale Ferraro and Incoronata Ferraro. Dear mother of Pellegrino “Bill” (Deborah) and Remo (Josie). Cherished Nonna of the late Lucie-Ann, Anthony, David (Susan), the late Stephanie, Julia (Philip), and Mark (Andreia). Bisnonna of Leonardo, Benjamin, Noah, Carter, Luca, and Adrian. Dear sister of the late Teodora (the late Immacolata), the late Nicola (the late Angelina), the late Adolfo (Theresa), the late Guisepina (the late Rollando), Carmine (Anna), Tonio (Guiliana), and Genesio (Adriana). Lucia will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends in both Italy and Canada.

Visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Home, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in the Chapel on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 11:00 am. Entombment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery and the Holy Family Chapel Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lucia’s honour can be made to the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners.
