Peacefully at Victoria Hospital after a brief illness, on Saturday, August 3, 2019, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Elaine Campbell (née Jefferson) for 56 years. Frank is survived by a sister, Lois Snell of Swastika, ON; brothers, Hugh (Orleana) of Ta Ta Creek, BC and Harold of Ottawa; brother-in-law, Don (Marie) Jefferson of Clinton and sister-in-law, Eilleen Jefferson of Donnybrook. Also missed by numerous nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Howard and Mary Campbell; brothers: Victor, Cecil and Lawrence; sisters-in-law, Joyce and Bertie; brothers-in-law, Wesley Jefferson and his sons Brian and Barry, and Keith Snell; niece, Susan Jefferson-Pursiainen and nephews, Larry and Jaron Campbell. Frank was a faithful member of the Byron United Church and the Byron Legion. He grew up in the small hamlet of Westfield, Huron County and worked for several years with the CPR, but retired after working for 29 years for EMCO, in London. Frank was an avid photographer and loved to share his movies with everyone. In later years, he travelled the countryside in search of old barns! He also enjoyed gardening and collecting various memorabilia. Frank will be remembered for his dedication to the Parkwood Hospital where he spent many volunteer hours, as well as serving lunches at the Byron Legion. He will be missed on the Springbank Park bike path where he spent countless hours on his trusty bicycle. A funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Frank to the London Regional Cancer Program, Byron United Church or the Byron-Springbank Legion (Branch 533) would be appreciated.
