At Parkwood Hospital on Wednesday, January 20th, 2016. Beloved husband and world travelling companion of Avril. Dear father and step-father of John (Christiane), Lynn, Judy, Michael (Julie), and Kate (Lee). Much loved by his grandchildren: Kevin, Leanne, Jeffery, Jennifer, David, Amanda, Lara, Tasha, Nicholas, Kyle and April and by 7 great-grandchildren. Alan will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and extended family. Alan was a Navy veteran of WWII. Many thanks to Dr. Borrie and the staff of Perth 2 for their kindness and compassion on Alan’s last journey. The memorial service will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Tuesday, January 26th, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Private interment will take place in Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Alan are asked to consider the London Humane Society.

Dear John Solange et moi sommes de tout cœur avec toi et Christiane dans cette épreuve. Pour l’avoir vécu plusieurs fois nous savons ce que ça représente, même quand nous devons, en même temps, admettre que c’est un soulagement pour les personnes que l’on aime. Sachez, John et Christiane que nous pensons souvent à vous et que nous ferons tout notre possible pour garder le meilleur lien possible avec vous deux. Nous aimons à croire que nous sommes de la famille, car nous avons en commun des souvenirs mémorables. Nous avons tenu à vous transmettre nos condoléances les plus sincères.
