Albert Gerald Bernardo, 91, of London, Ontario, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in London, Ontario, on January 9, 1934, Gerry lived most of his life there and was a family man whose legacy is continued through his children and grandchildren. Family meant everything to Gerry, and some of his happiest moments included golfing with his sons Brian, Danny, and Johnny, and watching his grandchildren participate in their various sports. He couldn’t have been prouder of them.
Gerry was predeceased by his wife, Mary Catherine Bernardo (née Thompson). Later in life he met and married Monika, and they were lucky to spend the later part of their lives together.
He is survived by his sons, Brian (Jill), Danny (Karm), and Johnny (Jenny); Monika’s daughters Michelle (Brent) and Christel; his cherished grandchildren Ava, Thomas, Dean, Tadhg, Sophia, Adam, Mila and Jordan.
A great passion in Gerry’s life, in addition to his family and sports, was history and music. He was an amazing father, and his sons were lucky to have him.
A private family burial will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of your choice.

I have only met Gerry a very few times as Johnny and I were driving by London, but it was obvious every time that he was the happiest man ever when his family was around. All the best to his family and friends through this difficult period,
