Alexander (Alex) Joseph Baggaley
August 29, 1994 - November 19, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Alexander Joseph Baggaley at the age of 31 on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
Alex was a loving father to Joseph. Beloved son of Jeff and Jennifer (née Sluys) Baggaley, cherished brother of Matthew (Bryn) and Sarah. Dear grandson of Susan and the late Ed Baggaley, and Hetty and Bill Sluys of Chatham. Alex was deeply loved by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Alex was born on August 29, 1994 in London, Ontario. He was the oldest of three children. When Alex loved someone or something, he loved with all he had. His heart was so big and genuine. His life was not always an easy one and he had many struggles and challenges. Alex faced them head-on and overcame them with a strength and determination that made all of us so incredibly proud of him. Our love for Alex was matched only by the love he had for his family.
Alex can rest peacefully now; no more struggles and no more pain. Spread your wings, Alex; you are free!
A visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Saturday, November 29, 2025 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., with a service following at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to make a donation in Alex’s memory is encouraged to consider donating to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Thames Valley Addiction and Mental Health Services.
