Alex.....I miss you....when I first met you while coaching Mark in baseball I knew right away what a special person you were... Gail....my dearest friend....my heart is breaking and I will be by your side through this grief of missing your "allie" Celebrating life with Gail and Alex through church services, christmas get togethers....New Year's eve celebrations were always so fun....so many more to mention. Best memories, Alex knocking one off my bucket list by taking me for a bike ride...he received so much joy making others happy and his pure heart and love, and that big smile made you feel special..... I will (privately) cheer on those Red Wings.....even though we had our constant friendly rivalry with my beloved Leafs......what fun was it watching the New Years day game together!!!!! You are a true kind, loving thoughtful good person and that has left such an impact who has come to know you.... xoxoxoxoxo
My heart aches not only for the loss of Alex, but the grief that I can't even imagine that both Gail and his family must be going through. I knew Alex and Gail through some mutual friends, Bo and Dave. For the few gatherings that we attended together, both Alex and Gail made me feel like I'd known them forever. He was a wonderful wonderful man. It is a great loss for all. I will never forget his kind and welcoming nature and smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Hugs Gail...thinking of you.....
Gail, Our time working together was short but "sweet", thanks to all of your wonderful treats and your warm and caring manner. Our heart goes out to you at this very sad time. You and your family are in our thoughts. Take care Gail.
My heart breaks for Gail, Kayleigh, Mark and their families and I am so sad that you have to go through this grief. I travel through London a few times a year stopping in to see my dear friend Gail. Alex and I connected when he learned my sister has similar issues following radiation in the 1970's. I talked to Alex on Monday just last week. During our chat he talked about his love and pride for Kayleigh & Mark and his love and gratitude for Gail. He was so full of love and He seemed to be on his way. Sometimes there is just no explanation for what happens. Remember that Alex's love will always surround you, hold on tight to friends and family that love you and care deeply for you. Love you Gail xxooxxoo
My deepest condolences to all of Alex's family and friends. Even though we didn't keep in touch, I have fond memories of our time together playing football many years ago. I'm sorry that I couldn't be there in person to express my sympathies.
Heather, Kayleigh, Mark and family, there are no words to express my sadness at this time. My heart is breaking for you. Alex was a great guy and I know he will be missed by you all. Hennessy family

Our thoughts and prayers go out to our close friend Gail and to Alex's family. To lose someone as sincere and genuine as Alex is simply devastating to all of us. We initially met Alex while departing for a vacation in Mexico and we knew immediately what a wonderful guy he was and we had an amazing time together. Alex could find the positive in any situation and his sense of humour was always appreciated. We will miss you always my friend.

Kayleigh, Mark, and Heather. So very sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Alex. I will always remember how proud he was of you, Kayleigh, at all those piano recitals. Heartfelt sympathy to you and your family.
Alex had a non-judgemental accepting manner that made people want to connect with him and share his big warm grin. Our prayers are with his family and friends. May we all try to be more gentle - like he was.
My heart never gave up on you. You were deeply loved by my family. They were your family. There has been a hole in our family the last four years. Never to be filled. Tim, Megan, Dana and Justin miss their Uncle Alex. We all spent many hours laughing and playing together. Your brother-in-law and best friend has missed you terribly. Together you always made our family functions fun. Your greatest accomplishment is your children. There are no words to describe their love for you. They are your gift to me and the world.
