Alice Joan (née Bearchill) Ayre

May 19, 1925 – June 30, 2021

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, in her 97^th year. Cherished mother of Joan (Blake), of Peterborough, and John (Susie), of Simcoe. Proud grandmother of four and great-grandmother of eight. Predeceased by her parents Tom and Nellie Bearchill; and her sister Dorothy (John) Downs. Alice was married for 60 years to her beloved husband the late Norman (2005), beside whom her ashes will be interred. Alice was born in London, Ontario and was a Registered Nurse from Victoria Hospital, class of 1945. At Alice’s request there will be a small family gathering of remembrance at a future date. Alice’s family would like to thank the very compassionate caregivers at Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care – Marian Villa 5, in London, and her earlier caregivers at Grand Wood Park Retirement Residence, on Grand Avenue, London.
