Althea Ann (née Alford) Lamperd

Althea passed away peacefully into the arms of her loving Saviour, Jesus, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in London, Ontario, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Frank Lamperd (2010) of 56 years. Loving mother of Belinda Verkaik (Henk) , Sylvia Balch (Jeff) and Cynthia Seabrook (Chris). Adored grandmother of Derrick Verkaik, Angela Lockyer, Kimberly Siemens, Brittany Charbonneau, Stephanie Page, Caleb Seabrook, Candace Seabrook and spouses. Precious great-grandmother of 11 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her loving siblings Marion Klassen (2025) and Graham Alford (1984).
Our sweet Mom is now with Jesus, Dad, and all the family and friends that have gone before her. It has been a long, lingering, yet relatively peaceful journey these past 10 years as she lived in the nursing home. Always greeting everyone with a sweet smile, gentle encouragement, and always asking if they went to church. If they answered “No” to church, she would say, “Let me tell you about my Jesus”. She would often quote scripture, and we would read the Bible to her and play hymns, which comforted her and gave her such peace.

Special thanks to all who uplifted Mom in prayer and visited while she was at Westmount Gardens Long Term Care. Thank you to the many staff at Westmount Gardens who kindly cared for Mom over the past 10 years.

What a lovely Aunty, At Althea was. I recall many lovely dinners that she hosted. Her kitchen was tiny but her heart big and our plates always full of deliciousness. Grateful to God for her faithfulness to him despite lifes challenges. What a courageous soul. Lots of love to you all. Your care for her has been exceptional. Well done.

Dear Belinda and family, I was sad to hear of your mom's passing. Although I didn't know her personally I just wanted to send my condolences to you and the rest of her family on behalf of the BCM London Area bible club ministry. We so much appreciated her support through the years. God answers the prayers of His saints. May he bless you as you remember her life; cherish the memories.
