Andre and I met at college many years ago and we enjoyed similar interests including fixing cars. Although we fell out of touch many years ago when I moved away after college, I remember him as a person with deep commitment. If he set his sights an achieving something, you could be assured that goal would be met. My deepest condolences go out to his family.

I’ve been lucky enough to work with Andre the past 3 years, but even luckier to have had him as part of my support system as I fought cancer this year. He always found a way to lift me up, even on the darkest days. I am so grateful for the kindness and generosity he’s shown me. It’s very hard to accept that he’s not going to just walk around the corner at Station 2, shoeless and laughing. I’ve never seen a bigger smile than a few days before he passed when I hugged him and told him my cancer isn’t back. The most genuine, beautiful soul I’ve ever met. I am deeply, deeply sorry for your loss and the loss to LFD as well. This is inconceivable.

Susan and family, I wish to convey my most sincere condolences to all of you on such a significant, unexpected loss. I started on the Fire department on September 10th 1990 with Andre and he finished at the top of our class of 11 with an incredible test score of 99.5%. He was not only very intelligent but he was also compassionate, kind, witty, considerate, responsible, and dedicated to his career and family. I am grateful for his friendship over the years and he is going to be missed terribly by all who knew him, especially his family. May you take some solace in the great memories that you have.

We are deeply saddened by Andre's sudden and unexpected death. We valued our many fun and friendly chats as we bumped into each other in our neighbourhood. Our kids' lives were intertwined at St. George and STA. There are no words, but we hope Susan, Nick, Ben and Karlee find comfort and peace through their family and friends. Thinking of you and remembering Andre always.

Dear Jeff & Kristine, we are so sad for your loss of Andre. It's difficult to comprehend the death of a young man and the grief it leaves for all of you, but especially his wife and children. We do pray for your family, for their comfort and peace. With love, Steve & Martha

~ Steve & Martha Forth

Susan, I was shocked to hear about the sudden passing of your beloved husband. There will never be any words no matter how kind that will mend your family’s hearts 💔 especially during a season that you were expecting to celebrate joy and happiness. But I do hope you and family will find comfort knowing those who care and share your loss wish you comfort and peace of mind. I hope you also find comfort and strength in the love of family and warm embrace of friends. May you snd your family find solace in remembering that those who we hold close to our hearts never truly leave us; they will always live on in the kindness they shared and in the love they brought to the lives of those that were fortunate to know them. Life is the greatest gift God has given to us and Death is only the bridge towards eternal life with God. Certainly, the heavens are rejoicing that another souls has finally reached its true home. “Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal, but love leaves a memory that no one can steal “ Your family’s patriarch is now your family’s guardian.👼 Heartfelt condolences to you and all the family. I will keep you and your family in my prayers 🙏 during this difficult time.

Sue and family; I am so sorry for your loss. I worked at #9 Fire Station with Andre for several years; and as a District Chief I was fortunate to have Andre as one of my officers. He was always professional and someone I could depend on to do a great job. I also played hockey with Andre and we shared many great laughable moments. He was well liked, well respected, and he will truly be missed.
