Antonius ‘Tony’ Vanderyt
May 8, 2019
Passed away peacefully, at the age of 85, with his loving wife Mary (Mia) of 59 years by his side. Loving father of Joanne (Brian) Landon and Caroline (Tim) Fletcher. Proud Opa of five grandsons: Devin (Trianna), Michael (Meagan), Christopher, Ryan and Kyle. Great-Opa of Thatcher, Vada and Hendrix. He will be dearly missed by his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews in the Netherlands. Tony immigrated to Canada to fulfill his dreams of owning land and becoming a farmer. His dreams came true later in life and he worked at his farm from sunup to sundown. It was his greatest love but his family always brought him the most joy. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Henley Place for their care and compassion. A funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Entombment at St. Peter’s Cemetery & Holy Family Chapel Mausoleum. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Tony are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex.
