I am saddened by the news of my friend Art's passing. Art and I worked together.at the RCMP from 1980 to 1995 when he retired. He always had a joke to tell and I missed his great sense of humour when he retired. He will always hold a special place in my heart and I will remember all the good times we had. My condolences to Peg and his family. RIP my friend. I am sure you have found the best wing place in heaven!

I first met Art at RCMP HQ in Toronto when I went for a haircut by Werner. My arrival interrupted a conversation between the two and Art soon left. That's when I learned from Werner that the CO had a Chauffeur. In retirement, I got to know him better as a member of the London Veterans' Association. I enjoyed getting to know him more and enjoyed listening at our coffee get together as he recounted his memories, including his service during the Korean War. Art enjoyed the many get togethers organized by the RCMP Vets, especially attending Remembrance Ceremonies on November 11. In the last couple of years, he would leave our coffee group early in concern for his dear wife. He cared that she was sitting alone at home. We offer our Condolences to Peggy and his immediate family. Donna & Henry Thompson
