We send our heartfelt condolences to your family. We enjoyed our times together at Silver Birches and in Destin. May God hold you close.
We lived across the street from Barb and Jim for 30 years before we met each other and became fast friends. Barb and I joked it was good we weren't in high school together because we definitely would have been up to some type of mischief! We both begrudged the 30 years it took us to meet each other. Barb invited me to join the exercise class she attended three times a week and we always had a great time. Barb was the social butterfly of the class. Barb and Jim taught us how to play Mexican Train and from there we graduated to the card game Hand and Foot. We enjoyed our weekly game of cards very much. We always had lots of fun. We will miss Barb and her infectious laugh and sense of fun. Our deepest condolences to Jim and the family. She will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Even before I met Barb I knew she was a kind and caring person. When Barb learned my husband was ill, she made a stained glass angel to hang in our window. At the time she had never even met us! It brought us both such comfort and still hangs in my window today. Later on I was fortunate enough to meet Barb and Jim through my sister Jackie. Every time I booked a trip to visit my sister I was already looking forward to visiting and playing cards with the Fitzgeorge’s. Barb had so many talents and interests and was just a lovely person to spend time with! It was a privilege to know her. My deepest condolences to Jim and family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
