Erin, Stacey and family I was saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. I visited your Mom in April and it was wonderful to see her and catch up. She was so excited about her new home. Altho' I hadn't seen her very much over the years she still remained one of my favourite people. I shall miss her. I pray God will give you strength and courage to face the difficult days ahead. She will live on in the precious memories you have. God Bless, Lois.

I have worked at University Hospital for many years. Barb was always the 'go to' person to help bring a patient into hospital for a procedure. Her demeanour was always cheerful, you could hear it in her voice when she picked up the phone to say, "Radiology Bookings." Once you were speaking with Barb you knew you were going to get a solution for your patient. Barb truly lived the core value of the hospital, she really cared. After her retirement we all missed her professionalism and her great personal warmth. Luckily she did have time to pass on a lot of her knowledge and skills to the younger staff who had come on board. My sincerest condolences to Barb's family. Regards Steve Lownie MD

I worked with Barb in the Radiology Dept at UH for 18 years. She loved her job, and many of her colleagues became good friends. She was a kind and caring to all of us who had to book imaging and procedures on behalf of our doctors, and the patients we are all proud to serve. She was a touch stone for many of us who depended on her expertise, and her gentle way of dealing with a stressful environment with grace and compassion. My condolences to her family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Erin, Vince, Stacey and the entire family at this time as we mourn the loss of such a wonderful woman... When I explained to Sadie (Barb's 3 year-old great neice) that Barb had gone to heaven, she said "Auntie Barb must be happy in heaven today. I heard it was a nice place." From the mouths of babes comes great truths...
