Basilio “Bill” Pawlaszyk

April 9, 1937 - June 5, 2024

Surrounded by his family, Basilio went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on June 5, 2024.   Basilio was a loving husband to Luba of 57 years, a proud and supportive father of Anatolio “Tony” (Ela), Nancy (Jeff), and Sammy (Paula).  Loving grandfather to Joshua Vanleeuwen (Chantel), Alexis Stone (Brandon) Samantha Vanleeuwen, Alana Pawlaszyk, Phil Foster, Chelsey Foster. Great-grandfather to Noah, Abigail, Luke, Weston, and Mila.

Basilio was born in Caszyr, Poland on April 9, 1937.  At the age of 3 months, Basilio’s family moved to Paraguay where he was raised, and eventually married his beautiful wife Luba in 1965.  Shortly after the birth of their son Tony, they moved to Canada where their family continued to grow with the births of Nancy and Sammy.  A man of great faith, integrity, and humbleness, Basilio was admired for his generosity and willingness to help anyone in need.  Basilio was a well-respected Concrete Finisher and will be remembered for his strength, reliability, and dedication to many.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.  2 Timothy 4:7, 8

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where a funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. For those unable to attend the service a live stream will be available. Basilio could light up the room with his warmth and smile. We can imagine how he would light up when he hears Jesus say, "Well done, good and faithful servant." Our condolences to the Pawlaszyk family. May God keep and comfort you all until we meet again in heaven.

Grateful I was able to meet a Great, Hardworking, and Kindhearted man some years ago. This man was my friend’s father, who recently passed, and, hands down, he emulated Kindness.
