Ben Rosehart
July 18, 2015
Surrounded by family on Saturday, July 18, 2015, Ben lost a long and brave struggle with cancer. He was a loving, devoted husband of 30 years to Bonnie. Dedicated and caring father to David Rosehart and Kendra English and son-in-law Dave. Predeceased by his wonderful parents Raymond and Lorraine (née Sinden). He was brother to Robert (Patti), Gary (Helen), Raymond, Mark (Deb) and Carolyn Ridley (Mark). Ben was happy to be uncle to several nieces and nephews: Lori, Corinne, Jeffrey, Rebecca, Matthew, Mark, Thomas, Spencer and Tristan. Ben was an honours graduate of Western University and a retired CGA/CPA. A 28-year valued employee of TD Canada Trust, Ben ended his career at Ivest Properties as VP of Finance, a job he loved, retiring in November 2014. Ben took pride in all that he did and he did it well! He always held his head up and inspired others. The world has lost a special person. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. MICHAEL’S PARISH, 511 Cheapside Street, London, on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Private inurnment at Tillsonburg Cemetery. Donations to LHSF – Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
“I’ve had a wonderful life. Thank you to all who participated in it.”

Bonnie, Ben will be sorely missed by all who knew him. I had the pleasure of working closely with Ben for 20 some years. Ben was a talented manager and a good friend. My deepest condolences to you and your family.
To the Rosehart family: speaking for all your old friends in Tillsonburg, we are very sorry to hear about Ben.
Bob, Blanche and I send you and your Family our very deepest sympathy with the passing of your brother Ben. Siblings that pass away have special meaning to us. They are often close in age like you and Ben, and their death may bring to mind our own mortality. Life is no longer taken for granted. Blanche and I have both lost a sibling and can relate to what you and your family are going through at this time.
I am ever so sorry for your loss. My sympathy goes to your entire family
Dear Bonnie and Family, We are very sorry to learn of Ben's passing. Ben was truly a great gentleman. He was a pleasure to work with at Canada Trust, always willing to share his knowledge and experience. We shared a special bond, with each of our families having our first child while living in White Oaks. He was very proud of his family and always put them first. He will be missed by all that knew him. Sincerely, Tom & Deb
Dear Carolyn and Family So sorry to hear of the passing of your dear brother Ben. I still remember all the wonderful sleep overs at your house and having a Pepsi and chips and drawing on that huge chalkboard. Your five brothers were super awesome. I have so many happy memories with the Rosehart family and will keep you all in my prayers. My deepest sympathy from your childhood friend, Mary
Bonnie & Ben you have been our dear couple friends. David and Kendra we watched you grow up. Thank you for all you have shared as family with us over the years. Robert, Raymond, Gary, Mark, and Carolyn, we are so happy that we came to know you, your families and your parents through Ben and Bonnie. We are so very sad to lose Ben and cry with you all. God be with you.
Ben was always a good friend to all he knew. I was glad he would think to include me, very much a loner, in the Friday night card games. He was very modest, but we all knew he was a math wizard. I am sorry I have never kept in touch with any of the gang since leaving the area in 1970, but know if we had met he would still be the good friend of long ago. His family were certainly fortunate as were all who had the privilege of his friendship.

Bonnie, our condolences to you and the family. It was my great pleasure to work with Ben during our time @ Canada Trust. Early on when both Ben and Bonnie worked in Comptrollers and I worked on FICS and later when Ben was Auditor for Global Banking. Ben would always bring a smile to my face and instilled a calm and confident demeanor even during stressful problem solving @ work. Ben always made time to chat. I respected his intellect and always parted feeling better for the encounter, a rare gift for an Auditor. Outside of work, our son Joey would play with David when Ben and Bonnie lived in White Oaks and I often saw Ben @ the Y after the TD Merger. I am privileged to have known Ben, he will be truly missed. Bonnie, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Bonnie, my deepest sympathies. While we have been out of touch for many years, I share fond memories with you and Ben from our early days at CT, your courtship and nuptials. Ben was a fine man and outstanding person.
Bonnie, I am so sorry for your loss. Ben was simply a wonderful man who set a continuous example of ethical behaviour in everything he himself did. As you know, I had the pleasure of reporting to Ben at Canada Trust for a few years in the 90s. When he interviewed me for the job, I wondered aloud if my then half-completed credentials would prevent him hiring me. He answered that ideal candidates must possess practical CT experience, and especially common sense - he hired me a week later! His respect led me to complete those credentials as well as a master's degree. Also my condolences to David and Kendra, who will also miss him deeply.
Ben was one of the good guys. We were friends in high school so many years ago. I remember him fondly and was saddened by the news of his passing. Along with Peter McCready, Joe Stephenson, Eric De Leeuw, Don Carmichael and a few others, we spent many adolescent Friday nights roaming the streets of Tillsonburg, sitting/talking at the Glen-Mur Restaurant, or playing cards at Ben's place. I'm sure he lived life fully and well. That would be his way. My condolences to all his family. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
Bob, Rob and I send you our deepest condolences on the loss of your brother, Ben. Our thoughts and prayers are with all his family during this difficult time.
Carolyn, Mark and the boys, we are so very sorry for the loss of your brother, Ben. I know that feeling of unbearable sadness when you wake in the morning and for one split second your mind forgets but then it comes back and the pain is unbearable. Take one day at a time, even one minute. Remember the good times and the bad we eventually fade. Take care love Brad, Deb, Kenny, Kody, Konner and Kaleigh
Bonnie, our deepest sympathies to you and the rest of the Rosehart family. I have fond memories of Ben while growing around the Sinden and Rosehart clans he will be sadly missed. Sincerely, Scot, Karen, Chris and Matt
