Peacefully, at University Hospital on Saturday, December 29th, 2018 at the age of 95. Cherished husband of the late Helga Maria Plotzke (2004). Missed by his special friend, Christa Seifert. Beloved father of Lutz Plotzke and his wife, Marilyn; Olaf Plotzke and his partner, Barbara Rand; and Kristjedy Cammarata and her husband, John. Proud Opa of Carrie Cleghorn, Kris Plotzke and Michelle, Michael Cammarata and Cara, Justin Cammarata and Ashley, Caitlin Caldwell and Chris Alexander, and Alison Plotzke and her fiancé, Ryan McIntyre. Uropa of Milan, Tyler, Nolan, Grace, Cole and Jonathan. A Celebration of Bernhardt’s life will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, January 12th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bernhardt are asked to consider the Cardiac Unit at University Hospital.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Losing a parent at any age is very difficult. How fortunate you were to have a wonderful father and enjoy his company for such a long time . You will miss him , remember all the wonderful times you had together .
