What a great woman you are Bernice you're an inspiration to many especially to me. In the way you talk and your jokes too! You're are always wonderful in every way, I also enjoyed your company and listen to your fruitful thoughts. You're just a blessing to us (I think the man upstairs has listen to your request that you want to go to him). You will be missed, may the Lord put you in his right hand Lucia

Dear McHardy Family, I had the pleasure of knowing your family and Bernice in my capacity as Chaplain at Kensington. I will remember Bernice as a soft spoken, gentle woman with a deep faith, that she lived out quietly in her life. She was so proud of her family, and they of her. I have fond memories of Bernice playing the organ at KV, and she would always be ready to lend a musical hand at special Services I was conducting. I also remember the wonderful 'Staff Thankyou' held in Lambeth with the family. It was a pleasure to have each of you touch my heart. Bernice, may the God you so loved welcome you lovingly into His arms, and to Bernice's family, may fond memories temper your sorrow. Blessings, Maureen

Bonnie, Carolyn, Dave, Phillip and your families What an absolute pleasure to have been able to be a part of your Mom's life. I had the honour of knowing your Mom and Dad through my work at Kensington Village. Listening to Bernice play the organ at services as well as for the other residents who just enjoyed listening to gospel music was truly a gift she shared. Her gentle, kind and caring ways shone in everything she did. I was gifted with the wonderful BBQ's hosted by her children and held at Dave's each year for the Kensington staff. Being able to spend time with Bernice and Mac's family is something I will cherish. Oh we had many good laughs didn't we Bonnie and Carolyn. Kareoke, Dave kilt and your skits. Bernice watched and giggled and was so proud of what you were doing for others. What a great memory I have of you sitting in the front solarium sharing a meal. Bernice loved life, loved her children and grandchildren more than words can say. I remember the times she shared biblical readings with me and then was always able to give an example that had an impact on her own life. How wise and wonderful. I am unable to be in London on Saturday but I will be thinking of you all as you honour your Mom and send her home to be with her beloved Mac. Thank you again for the opportunity to love and share in Bernice's life.

On behalf of the Physiotherapy staff at Kensington Village we wish to offer our condolences to the entire Mc Hardy family. Bernice was such a joy to get to know over the past 2 years.. She had a bright smile, heartfelt stories of her family and friends, and a talent for music. She will be greatly missed. Bernice will remain in our thoughts and prayers.
